Thanks for visiting my Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival webpage! As a member of SunServe, and even more so, as a member of the queer community, I hope to use my position to help give back and make a difference in the community. My team and I are taking an active part in the fight against HIV and AIDS. That’s why my team will be participating in a 5K fundraising walk to help raise funds for local HIV and AIDS service organizations; in other words, the donations made will directly help the work that we at SunServe and many of our valuable community partners do.

Your gift makes a direct impact on my goal to save lives right here in Florida from the continued devastation of HIV/AIDS. While HIV and AIDS have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, the epidemic is far from over. An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t know it. Florida AIDS Walk works to bring attention to this pressing issue, educate and inspire our community to work together, and end the epidemic once and for all. 

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the AIDS Walk sponsor, is once again MATCHING every dime that we, SunServe, raise. Think about it; what a cost-effective way to help the LGBTQ+ community of South Florida — not 100% of your gift will go to help those less fortunate, but 200%!
