Hello, and thank you for visiting my Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival webpage! I’ve decided to take an active part in the fight against HIV and AIDS. That’s why I will be participating in a 5K fundraising walk along with the GAY MEN’S CHORUS OF SOUTH FLORIDA to help raise funds for local HIV and AIDS service organizations. But I need your help.
This will be my second year with the chorus and I’m leading the charge for our GMCSF TEAM. This amazingly eclectic group of people has inspired me to continue being a leader for the chorus, organizing this and other events that bring camaraderie and a feeling of family. These folks are a reminder that so many friends, colleagues and family members have lost someone to the battle…including myself.
While HIV and AIDS have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, the epidemic is far from over. An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t know it. Will you help me make a difference in this fight by donating to my walk?
