Greetings and thank you for visiting HMC's Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival webpage.
In light of recent and pressing events, it is more important than ever for transmasculine voices to be in spaces like these. Our voices and needs oftentimes go unheard and underrepresented in the conversation of HIV, sexual and reproductive health.
In the state of Florida this leads to our testing results being skewed or nonexistent due to our numbers being lumped in with that of cisgendered women. Ultimately leading to inaccurate reporting, tracking, incompetent healthcare and a lack of community needs met. HMC has decided to step up to the plate and fill the gap for our transmasc community, But we need your help.
While HIV and AIDS have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, the epidemic is far from over. An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t know it. Will you help us make a difference in this fight by donating to our walk?
