Why support my team?

HIV is at last declining in almost every region, and for every population -- except here!

• South Florida's Miami-Dade and Broward counties rank first and second in the nation for their rates of new HIV infections.
• The CDC reports that new HIV cases are finally decreasing for all groups except for two: rates are rising amongst gay Latinos, and younger gay people (ages 25 to 34, including gay Latinos).
• Latinos Salud is the only gay, Latino HIV agency in the state of Florida with free, walk-in services.

We serve gay Latinos, all persons living with HIV, and anyone who identifies as transgender, offering free prevention education, screening and linkage services until 9:00 p.m. each weekday. And we offer testing to the entire community.

What happens with your donation?

Government grants help cover most--but not all!-- of our costs. Donations help us close the gap, so we can reach further, and help more community members. Best of all, when you donate to my page, your donation will be matched 100%!

Latinos Salud's free services include: HIV rapid testing, STD testing, linkage-to-care services, Ryan White case management, anti-stigma campaigns, life coaching programs, youth HIV prevention programs; peer leadership health promotion programs, HIV+ support groups, condom and safer sex supply delivery service to businesses serving the gay community, and outreach both on line and at late night venues.
