Hello everyone, After all of the wonderful years in Atlanta and owning Petals A Florist, the latest chapter of my life has led me to beautiful Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale. I am very fortunate to be now working at The Pride Center at Equality Park. As one of the customer service/front desk staff I get the opportunity to speak with and interact with many members of the LGBTQ+ community. It has been a heartwarming experience to be here, helping some of the local and the visiting gay community in a small way. One of the yearly events that helps fund The Pride Center is the Florida AIDS Walk which will be on March 18th. of this year. Any donations you can make will be doubled by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation at the end of the fundraiser. Please consider helping in this fight and supporting so many great causes here and across the nation.
I’ve decided to take an active part in the fight against HIV and AIDS. That’s why, on Saturday, March 18, I will be participating in a 5K fundraising walk to help raise funds for local HIV and AIDS service organizations. But I need your help.
While HIV and AIDS have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, the epidemic is far from over. An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t know it. Will you help me make a difference in this fight by donating to my walk?
Your gift makes a direct impact on my goal to save lives right here in Florida from the devastation of HIV/AIDS. Florida AIDS Walk works to bring attention to this pressing issue, educate and inspire our community to work together, and end the epidemic once and for all.
Together, we are making a difference! Any donation, small or larger would be greatrly appreciated. Thanks for your consideration and for any of my friends that live out of state, please keep a vist to beautiful Wilton Manors in your future travel plans.
